🌿ABOUT STEM & PETAL FARM

🌿 About Stem & Petal Farm

Stem & Petal Farm is a small, family-run flower farm located in North Carolina, dedicated to growing high-quality cut flowers and dahlia tubers using 100% organic and regenerative farming practices.

Our work is rooted in stewardship. We believe that beautiful flowers start with healthy soil, so our focus is not on maximum output, but on long-term soil health, ecological balance, and plant quality. Every decision on the farm — from crop selection to cultivation methods — is made with the goal of improving the land we grow on.

We grow all of our flowers and tubers on our farm, carefully tending each crop through the season. Our dahlia tubers are grown, divided, and stored on site, allowing us to maintain quality control from field to customer. We sell only what we grow and stand behind the health and viability of our plants.

By prioritizing regenerative practices, we aim to build resilient soil, support beneficial insects and pollinators, and reduce our environmental footprint. This approach results in stronger plants, healthier gardens, and flowers we are proud to share.

At Stem & Petal Farm, quality, transparency, and care for the land guide everything we do — from the first planting to the final harvest.

Our Farming Practices

At Stem & Petal Farm, we use 100% organic, regenerative farming practices to grow cut flowers and dahlia tubers that are healthy, resilient, and true to variety.

Rather than chasing maximum production, we focus on soil health, plant strength, and long-term sustainability. Healthy soil is the foundation of everything we grow, and we believe farming should improve the land, not deplete it.

Our regenerative approach includes:

  • Building soil organic matter through compost and natural amendments

  • Avoiding synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides

  • Encouraging beneficial insects and pollinators

  • Rotating crops and managing fields to reduce disease pressure naturally

All dahlia tubers are grown, divided, and stored on our farm, allowing us to monitor plant health at every stage. Tubers are carefully inspected and culled to ensure only strong, viable planting stock is offered for sale.
